The internet is filling up with content made by nobody, for nobody. Algorithms writing recipes. Synthetic voices teaching pottery. AI-generated “courses” sold by people who’ve never touched the subject. That’s not MingleIn.

The line in the sand

Every Workshop on MingleIn is taught by a real human.

MingleIn began in a lockdown kitchen, watching kids struggle to learn through a screen, and watching friends rediscover themselves through Workshops taught by real people with real hands and real stories. What made it work wasn’t the technology. It was the human at the other end.

So we built MingleIn with a line in the sand. Every Workshop on MingleIn is taught by a real human with real expertise. No exceptions, no fine print:

• No AI-generated Workshop content.
• No synthetic Hosts or voice clones.
• No fake reviews. No bot Boasts.

We do use AI, quietly, in the background, to help our Hosts share their craft more easily. It writes first-draft descriptions from their own words. It suggests tags. It summarises reviews. It saves Hosts hours of admin so they can spend more time doing the thing they’re brilliant at.

But the craft itself? That’s human. Always.

If you come here to learn pottery, you’ll learn it from someone whose wheel has real clay on it. If you come here to learn watercolour, your teacher has paint under their fingernails. If you come here to bake sourdough, someone with flour on their apron will guide you through it.

These rules apply to every Host on the platform. They tell you exactly what’s welcome, what needs to be disclosed, and what’ll get a Workshop removed.

AI as your admin assistant
These tools save Hosts hours. They help you share your craft without changing what the craft is. Use them freely.

  • Auto-chaptering your video into clear sections
  • Suggesting searchable tags and categories
  • Summarising buyer reviews
  • Templates for promotional emails and social posts
  • AI-cleaned audio and basic video tidy-ups

AI that touches the output
You can use these, but tick a quick disclosure box at upload so Buyers know. Honesty builds trust, not suspicion.
  • AI-generated thumbnails from your real Workshop footage
  • AI captioning and translation to languages you don't speak
  • AI-assisted edit suggestions (trimming silences or pauses)
  • Boast-enhancement tips (lighting, framing, not image generation)
Red · not allowed
The line. Cross it and your Workshop is removed.
Repeated or serious breaches mean your account is closed. No exceptions. No appeals on the principle.

The Host Declaration

One box. One promise. Every Workshop.

Before publishing each Workshop on MingleIn, every Host is asked to confirm a single declaration. It’s the contract that makes the AI position real and enforceable.

The declaration

“I am the real person teaching this Workshop. The instructional content is based on my own skills and experience. I have not used AI to generate the instructional content, and I have not used synthetic voices or avatars to represent myself.”
Submitting a false declaration is a material breach of our Terms of Service. We may remove the Workshop, withhold or reverse Host funds, and suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or material breaches.
Common questions

Honest answers about AI on MingleIn.

So you do use AI? Isn't that a contradiction?
No, and being honest about this is the whole point of the policy. We use AI behind the scenes to take admin off Hosts (drafting descriptions, summarising reviews, suggesting tags). We never use AI to teach the Workshop. The distinction is clear: AI for the boring bits, real humans for the actual craft.
How do you actually enforce the no-AI rule?
Three layers. First, every Host signs the declaration above before publishing each Workshop. Second, our community can flag any Workshop they suspect breaches the rule. Third, we conduct random audits and review every flagged report. Workshops that breach the rule are removed; repeat breaches mean account closure.
What if a Host uses AI for some of their video editing?
Basic editing is fine (Green Zone). Editing that materially alters the pacing or structure of the Workshop needs a disclosure tick (Amber Zone). AI-generated demonstrations or AI doing the actual teaching is never permitted (Red Zone).
As AI gets better, will this policy get weaker?
No. As AI floods other platforms, the value of real human expertise goes up, not down. MingleIn’s job is to be the place where that real expertise has a home. The policy is the platform.
Where can I report a Workshop I think breaches this policy?
Email trust@minglein.com.au with the Workshop title and Host name. Once we launch the in-product “Flag this Workshop” function (coming with launch), you’ll be able to report directly from the Workshop page. Every report is reviewed and we communicate outcomes back to reporters.
