An Australian community for real humans teaching real skills.
We're an Australian online community where everyday people host short pre-recorded Workshops in the skills they love. Buyers learn on their schedule (alone, or together in a Watch Party with friends), message you directly inside the video as they're learning, and meet other learners in interest-based Communities around your craft. Every Workshop is made by a real person. No AI-generated content. No algorithmic feed deciding who gets seen.
We're soft-launching at minglein.com.au with a hand-picked cohort of 10 Founding Hosts. Dates being confirmed.
The system around creative work in Australia is broken in a specific way.
The platforms that should help creators get paid for their skills don't. Skillshare returns roughly 25–30%. Udemy is 37–50%, if the platform attributes the sale to you. Ad-revenue platforms typically pay creators in single digits, and on every one of them you're still running the marketing engine yourself.
An Etsy maker who sells a piece for $80 after 12 hours of work and $20 in materials nets about $4 an hour. The same maker, recording one Workshop teaching how she made it, could earn from that one Workshop for the next decade, but the infrastructure to do that is its own full second job, and the existing platforms aren't built to pay creators fairly for it.
We built MingleIn to fix that one specific thing. Not to be another feed. Not to chase scale. To make creative skill share fairly between the people doing the teaching and the platform doing the operational scaffolding.
Three things, in plain language.
The operational scaffolding (payments, hosting, customer support, refunds, fraud handling, recommendations) is on us. You stay focused on craft.
A fair share, forever
Every Host on MingleIn keeps 50% of every Workshop sold. Universal. Sacred. Founding Hosts get the same 50% as everyone else: status is recognition through placement, support and badge, never a different revenue number. Compared to Skillshare's 25 to 30% and Udemy's 37 to 50%, this is a deliberate position, not a promotion.
Record once, earn while you sleep
Pre-recorded Workshops mean the catalogue earns; you don't have to keep performing. One thoughtful weekend of recording can pay for years.
A Community that shares your work for you
When a Buyer finishes your Workshop they post a Boast (a photo or short video of what they made). The next person scrolling sees it, asks "how do I make that?", and clicks through to your Workshop. You earn your 50%, the Community has just done the marketing without us spending a dollar on ads, and the Community Growth Fund recognises the Buyer who sent them. We can't undercut paid ads on price, so we don't try; we let the Community do it instead.
The launch is the cohort.
Most platforms launch with a thin catalogue and try to grow it post-launch. We're doing it the other way round. The 10 Founding Hosts are the launch, your work is what every Buyer sees on day one. The cohort is small on purpose: we want to give every Founding Host the support and editorial attention that makes the workshop succeed.
Six perks that only Founding Hosts get.
After the cohort closes, none of these are available, the slots are filled and the launch window is gone.
Featured homepage placement
Your work pinned to the MingleIn homepage for 30 days from soft launch. Permanent placement during the early window when discovery is still being calibrated and Buyers are looking for the first wave of work.
Permanent "Founding Host" badge
Stays on your profile forever. You'll be findable through the "Founding Hosts" filter for as long as MingleIn exists. Built into the database, not a marketing label.
Concierge onboarding from Mark
Mark personally walks you through Workshop planning, recording (your phone is fine), pricing, upload, and a Community Growth Fund primer so you understand how the platform grows from the inside.
Founder-direct support
Direct line to Mark personally through onboarding and your first 90 days. For real questions, real bug reports, real feedback. Used sparingly, but used.
First look at every new feature
Founding Hosts shape the product roadmap from the inside. Every new feature ships to the cohort first, with a feedback channel directly to product before public release.
A share of public-launch PR
The soft-launch cohort is what our public-launch press release will lead with later in 2026. Your story is part of ours when MingleIn opens to the broader market.
The compounding layer, not the door.
One more thing worth mentioning, but only after the rest has landed: the platform has a compounding layer most platforms don't.
Your Earnings land within 7 business days of each sale. From there, you have a real choice every month: withdraw to bank in another 7 business days (a published guarantee, not a default we hide behind), or spend on another Host's Workshop and stay inside the Community Growth Fund when someone discovers it through your Boast.
The Hosts who use the second path are doing three things at once. They're learning from peers (which is how you get sharper). They're recirculating value the platform already collected (which keeps the Community liquid). And they're crossing back into Buyer mode, where the next round of Boasts and recognition lands.
Withdraw, spend, or both. Your call, every month. Both paths are easy on purpose. You don't need to engage with Stored Value to thrive on MingleIn (most Founding Hosts will start with straight bank withdrawal), but it's there when you're ready, and the Hosts who lean into it are the ones whose income compounds fastest.
The bar is real expertise, real evidence.
We're not looking for the biggest follower count. We're looking for makers who already have a body of work and a craft they can teach with depth.
What earns a spot
You've been making, teaching or selling your craft for at least 3 years. You can show your work, products sold, classes taught, commissions, or a body of student outcomes. Your craft is teachable on video (with a clear "by the end of this you'll have made…" outcome). You're an Australian resident or Australian-based business. You're willing to be on camera and on the record about your work. You can publish your first Workshop in time for our soft launch (dates being confirmed).
What doesn't fit
"Coaches" or "mentors" without a hands-on craft to teach. Re-uploading content already on Skillshare, Udemy or YouTube without changes. AI-generated tutorials, voice-cloned demos, or synthetic Hosts. Multi-level marketing, pyramid offers, or sales funnels disguised as workshops. "Mindset" content without a tangible skill outcome. Anyone unwilling to ship a workshop in the launch window, we save those spots for ongoing recruitment.
One sentence.
“Stored Value isn't a payout. It's a compounding MingleIn Kitty.”

From application to a published Workshop.
From application to a published Workshop in time for the soft launch (dates being confirmed). We move with you, not on a fixed track.
- 1. Applications open (register your interest). 15-minute application form. Tell us your craft, share links to existing work, list a few workshop ideas. We respond to every applicant in 5 business days.
- 2. 30-minute discovery call with Mark (rolling, within 5 days of accepted application). Mark calls successful applicants directly. We talk through workshop scope, your launch goal, and what concierge onboarding looks like for you. No sales pitch, you've already been chosen.
- 3. Workshop scoping & outline (within 1 week of discovery call). We co-write your workshop outline. You decide what to teach; we help shape the chaptering, the outcomes and the watch-time. Outline approved, recording slot locked.
- 4. Recording & upload, the reframe window (before soft launch, dates being confirmed). Concierge support from Mark. Phone in one take or as polished as you want, we do not require a studio. This is the window where you reframe your video content for MingleIn: chaptering, outcomes, watch-time, the "by the end of this you'll have made..." moment. We co-write the outline so the Workshop reads as a MingleIn experience, not a re-cut of something else. Upload through Workshop Studio. You sign off before publish.
- 5. Soft launch on minglein.com.au (dates being confirmed). Your Workshops go live. The full cohort is onboarded shortly after, timing being confirmed. Public-launch PR follows later; the soft launch is intentionally a closed-cohort moment with the Founding Host network and their audiences. Your first sale lands here.
